Richard Fields – Charitable OrganizationsRichard Fields is most well known for co-developing the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida and his role as a leading member of Excelsior Racing Associates. Richard Fields is also a generous philanthropist and contributes to many non-profit charities and causes. The Fields Family FoundationRichard Fields founded the Fields Family Foundation with his family. Through the Foundation, the Fields’ perform the majority of their charitable donations. The Foundation earned the highest honor given by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for its generous $250,000 contribution. The NCMECThe NCMEC is a non-profit group that works with law enforcement, professionals, families and children to help prevent child abduction and exploitation and aid children who have been the victims of exploitation or abduction. The NCMEC has offices around the world and contributed to the development of the AMBER Alert System, which notifies law enforcement and new agencies around the country when a child is missing. In addition to contributing financially to the NCMEC, Richard Fields is also a board member. Good Shepherd ServicesThe Fields Family Foundation provides 200 underprivileged children from New York with an annual trip to the Radio City Christmas Show in Manhattan. The trip is organized through Good Shepherd Services, a non-profit social services agency that offers development programs to children and families throughout New York City. New York Police FoundationSince 1971 the New York Police Foundation has provided the New York Police Department with financial assistance, resources, technology, training techniques and strategies. As the only group authorized by the NYPD to fundraise on its behalf, the NYPF has raised over $60 million for the police force. Richard Fields and the Fields Family Foundation actively support the NYPF and have achieved its highest donor rank: Four Star. American Quarter Horse FoundationThe AQHA runs programs that help keep the American Quarter Horse industry healthy by conducting equine research, giving scholarships and running a therapeutic riding program. |
