Richard Fields Philanthropy

Richard Fields is a contributor to non-profit groups and causes. Richard Fields created the Fields Family Foundation in 2005 for the benefit of children, police officers, farming families, and medical research.

American Quarter Horse Foundation (AQHA)

Richard Fields also supports the American Quarter Horse Foundation (AQHA). The AQHA is an advocate for the well-being of quarter horses across America. Through education, promotion, research and services, the AQHA is able to ensure the integrity of quarter horses. The Fields Family Foundation funded the Youth Assistance Program, which provides scholarships for AQHYA competitors to participate in the annual AQHYA World Championship Show.

Farm Aid

Richard Fields is a member of the Farm Aid Board. Farm Aid is a nonprofit organization that supports family-owned farms and farmers by hosting concerts to raise funds, promote farming, and spread awareness.

Good Shepherd Services

In 2007, Richard Fields helped sponsor a holiday program for Good Shepherd Services, a nonprofit organization that assists youth in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn connect with family, school, and the community.

National Center for Mission and Exploited Children

Richard Fields supports The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), a nonprofit network that helps locate missing and abducted children throughout the world. Richard Fields is a secretary for NCMEC.

New York Police Foundation

The Fields Family Foundation has long supported the New York Police Foundation, a non-profit group created in 1971 to help provide the New York Police Department with resources, technology, training techniques and strategies. The NYPF is the only group authorized by the NYPD to raise funds on its behalf. Since its beginning in 1971, the NYPF has raised over $60 million for the NYPD.

Through the Fields Family Foundation, Richard Fields has contributed $1.5 million to the New York City Police Foundation to help new police officers reduce their college debt through a college loans reimbursement program.

University of Rochester Medical Center

Richard Fields is a supporter of medical research for muscular dystrophy through the University of Rochester Medical Center. Richard Fields donated $7.1 million in 2007 for the creation of The Fields Center, a research and clinical center dedicated to facioscapulohumeral dystrophy (FSHD).
